When I received the news a couple of things went through my mind, firstly I was sad because of the loss of such a wonderful lady who was like a mother to us. The second thought that came into my heart were that she had a talk with God and he gave her a choice of staying or going home and she chose to go home and God just lifted her at that moment from her bed right into heaven. Another thought that struck Joey and me was the fact that we had lost an intercessor that was covering our backs and so many other people in ministry. She was the most powerful intercessor and prayer warrior I have seen, ever.
Hylie French was ordained as pastor in FCCA-Int on 3 March 2007 in recognition of the wonderful work, support and unselfish service she displayed in her lifetime to her church, the body of Christ and Gods children. The FCCA-Int decided to ordain her as there are so many like her who unselfishly and without any expectations toil in God's Kingdom without ever being recognized as mighty men and woman of God. In their humbleness they are at times looked down to and seen as inconsequential, but they are the backbone of our churches and ministries.
We in the church ask that God raise up spiritual fathers but I want to state here today that Hylie was one of the church's exceptional spiritual giants and we can take a page out of her book as to what God wants mothers to do today in His Church.
Hylie we will miss you but thank you for the example and legacy you left behind.
Johann, Joey and the FCCA-Int team.
