Someone sent me a sms that made my spirit leap with joy: When a CHILD OF GOD LOOKS into the WORD OF GOD and sees the SON OF GOD, he is changed by the SPIRIT OF GOD, into the IMAGE OF GOD for the GLORY OF GOD.  I then added: As you can see: ITS ALWAYS JUST ABOUT GOD.

We so often feel that we have achieved something and begin to feel important; as if we've arrived. 

James 4:6-7 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. 7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

We are called to be servants of the Lord God Almighty.  Our Lord Jesus gave us a clear instruction that has become our mandate:

Mark 16:15-20 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.
20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the Word with signs following. Amen.

Yes, you must be born again, be baptised and filled with the Holy Spirit.  We have to lay down the old man - our old way of living.  When you allow the Holy Spirit to teach you concerning the Lord Jesus Christ and God's Word, you will be astounded about the things that will happen in your life. 

One of the first things you will learn is that humility allows the Power of God to flow through you. We used to sing a song: Humble yourself in the sight of the Lord, and He will raise you up.

It is sad to see how men and women have become so important in their own eyes that they think they can order the Lord God Almighty to do things for them, that they can order the angels of God to do what they want them to do.

Pride is a terrible thing.

Proverbs 16:17-19 The way of the upright is to turn away from evil; he who keeps his way guards his way.
18 Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.
19 It is better to be of an humble spirit with the lowly than to divide the spoil with the proud.

The Good News Bible puts it like this: Proverbs 16:18  Pride leads to destruction, and arrogance to downfall.

The greatest example of humility we can find is in the Bible of Jesus Christ washing the feet of his disciples:

John 13:4-9 So he rose from the table, took off his outer garment, and tied a towel around his waist.
5 Then he poured some water into a washbasin and began to wash the disciples' feet and dry them with the towel around his waist.
6 He came to Simon Peter, who said to him, "Are you going to wash my feet, Lord?"
7 Jesus answered him, "You do not understand now what I am doing, but you will understand later."
8 Peter declared, "Never at any time will you wash my feet!" "If I do not wash your feet," Jesus answered, "you will no longer be my disciple."
9 Simon Peter answered, "Lord, do not wash only my feet, then! Wash my hands and head, too!" MKJV
