This is a question in need of answering for many years.
We as followers of Yeshua are supposed to be the most blessed people on the face of the earth - but why do so many of us suffer?
Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because you [the priestly nation] have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you that you shall be no priest to Me; seeing you have forgotten the law of your God, I will also forget your children.
We have all read this scripture many times but do we really understand the full meaning?
In which areas are we being destroyed?
a. The Word is clear that the Almighty wants to bless us abundantly.
Isa 61:6 But you shall be called the priests of the Lord; people will speak of you as the ministers of our God. You shall eat the wealth of the nations, and the glory [once that of your captors] shall be yours. [Exod. 19:6; I Pet. 2:5; Rev. 1:6; 5:10; 20:6.]
7 Instead of your [former] shame you shall have a twofold recompense; instead of dishonour and reproach [your people] shall rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they shall possess double [what they had forfeited]; everlasting joy shall be theirs.
b. Speak Blessing over yourself and others
Num 6:22 And the Yahweh said to Moses,
23 Say to Aaron and his sons, This is the way you shall bless the Israelites. Say to them,
24 Yahweh bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 Yahweh make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 Yahweh lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
27 And they shall put My name upon the Israelites, and I will bless them.
Do you speak blessings or curses over yourself and fellow believers?
c. Life and death lies in the power of the tongue.
Mar 11:23-25 Truly I tell you, whoever says to this mountain, Be lifted up and thrown into the sea! and does not doubt at all in his heart but believes that what he says will take place, it will be done for him.
24 For this reason I am telling you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe (trust and be confident) that it is granted to you, and you will [get it].
25 And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him and let it drop (leave it, let it go), in order that your Father Who is in heaven may also forgive you your [own] failings and shortcomings and let them drop.
How often do you hear believers ay the they are having financial problems, that they are broke, they don't have money? They keep on saying it over and over. From the above Scriptures we see that 'you will have what you say'.
d. Choose life
Deut 30:19 I call heaven and earth to witness this day against you that I have set before you life and death, the blessings and the curses; therefore choose life, that you and your descendants may live.
But so many people choose death - they say that they are poor!
e. Speak life and provision
Prov 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it [for death or life].
YOU WILL HAVE WHAT YOU SAY!!!
f. Get your relationship with Yeshua in order.
Mat 6:33 But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides.
g. The wealth of the wicked
h.Keep the commandments of Yahweh
Ps 112:1-3 Praise Yah! Blessed is the man, Who fears Yahweh, Who has greatly delighted in His commands.
2 Mighty in the earth shall be his seed, The generation of the straight ones shall be blessed.
3 Wealth and riches are in his house, And his righteousness is standing forever.
