Hennie Dup was the first biker to join FCCA in 2006 on the 19th of January. I was in Amanzimtoti visiting my daughter in hospital when I received the call that a biker wanted to join our ranks.
I drove back wondering about this 'rough diamond' as he was called by the man who referred him to me.
Great was my shock when Hennie turned up at my house. He was a true biker! And he had a cross hanging from his ear!!
Lord, I though, this man? Father just said: Yes, I know him and love him just as much as I love you. Well, that settled it.
Hennie was to be ordained on Saturday, 18 March 2006. Hennie was however involved in an accident on 14 February 2006 and passed on the be with our Father on 28 February 2006. Ester received his certificate on 18 March.
Ester, we want to assure you that we will remember Hennie Doep for the quality man that he was, the way that he cared for and loved his family and for being a lovely servant of the Almighty.
