This story of Declan Buchling began at the MMC 2010 when he was just 8 years old.

On the Friday evening of MMC 2010 Declan made a commitment to serve Jesus as his Master and Savior.

After the conference he asked his dad, Tinus if he could meet uncle Angus to shake his hand.

Eventually the opportunity came. We arranged with Juan van Tonder to meet with uncle Angus after the meeting. This was confirmed about 10 days before the MMC Kalahari.

Declan was very excited! Tinus and Annelise brought Declan to Tosca where they stayed in the boarding house of Tosca Laerskool with Thys and Magdel.

Sunday morning was the moment Declan was waiting for! Angus invited all the new converts to come forward and shake his hand. When uncle Angus came to Declan he bent down and looked him in the eyes and shook his hand. A little later we arranged that uncle Angus met him again for a few words.

Declan is overjoyed to have his dream come true.

The MMC Kalahari was another dream come true.

Juan van Tonder wanted to bring Angus to the Kalahari and he involved all the churches and ministers in the area. The excitement was great and the meetings began. Once Angus confirmed that he would be able to attend it was full steam ahead.

Jan and Mariaan Fourie - Jan Aartappel (Jan Potato) - made their farm, Grasbank, available for them to hold the MMC Kalahari. The field he had available is his potato field - like' Faith like potatoes!' Many people of the Molopo got involved to make a success of the wonderful event.

About 6000 men registered to meet at Grasbank.

When the meetings was about to start a powerful wind started blowing and during the meeting soft rain was falling. The men just sat; not one of them moved for cover.

Johnny Louw shared the Word on Friday and Saturday evenings. Father really touched the men's hearts. Juan van Tonder shared a Word early on Saturday evening - Powerful! When he made an alter call many of the men responded. When Angus called the men forward that made a first public acceptance of Jesus hundreds of men came forward.

All glory to the Almighty!
