I am Henry de Jonge and was born in Pietermaritzburg and raised in Newcastle, KwaZulu-Natal.  I met my wife Amanda in Newcastle, this is also her birthplace. Currently we are married for 20 years and have two beautiful daughters, Melissa 14 and Belinda 17 years old. Amanda and both my children accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour and Lord, and are baptized.

I accepted Jesus Christ in my life in 2002, and in 2006 God has called me into the ministry.  In the same year, we became involved at Raphah shelter in Newcastle, an Upliftment - Centre for homeless people and families.  Many success stories came from this centre, people who accepted Jesus as their Lord and Saviour and their lives where changed in a positive way.  We have learned much from this experience, how to show love and deal with people who have gone through difficult circumstances.    I met Thys and Magdel, from FCCA - International at this centre. Currently I am an ordained minister with FCCA-Int.

In 2008, we spent four months in Mozambique as missionaries, working together with other ministries.  One of the projects was the building of rooms to raise the necessary funds for the Mozambique outreaches.

The ministry has a "Jesus Cares Project" where clothing are made, by Amanda, for underprivileged children and a ''Jesus Cares'' label is sewn onto each piece of clothing, as a way to spread the Gospel among them.

The Jesus Cares Project was involved with several outreaches in association with other ministries, where these clothing were handed out.  We have done outreaches at Raphah in Newcastle (Centre for the Homeless), Krugersdorp, and Soshanguve - PTA, Mozambique (Xai-Xai and Macia area), Lesotho and surrounding areas.

Furthermore, our aim is to mobilise workshops in different areas to teach women the necessary sewing skills; especially in the rural areas and this will extend the Jesus Cares Project in the area.  By doing this, these women can clothe the children in that specific area or community. This ministry is entirely dependent on donations to make it successful.
